I am the photographer behind Shiflet Studios. I specialize in portrait photography, with a focus on capturing genuine moments that reflect who you really are, not just how you look.
Before photography, I earned a master's degree in forensic chemistry. That background trained me to slow down, notice details most people miss, and tell a story through careful observation — skills that carry directly into how I shoot. Photography lets me take that same precision and point it toward something creative instead: real connection, real moments, real you.
My approach
My approach to every session is relaxed and collaborative. I want you to feel comfortable in front of the camera, not like you're performing for it, because the best photographs happen when you can just be yourself.
Whether we're creating portraits for a personal milestone, professional use, or simply to capture a moment in time, my goal is the same: images that feel meaningful, years from now. I believe that comes from trust, genuine connection, and thoughtful craftsmanship and I'm just as invested in making the experience itself enjoyable as I am in the final images.
